Mary V. Rogers
SHAREHOLDER
Mary V. Rogers found her niche specializing in real estate law and estate planning and administration after she realized she preferred assisting people instead of corporations and excelled in negotiating and problem-solving.
Those attributes have served her well as she counsels everyone from young couples purchasing their first home to older individuals and couples seeking the peace of mind that results from a deliberate, well considered estate plan.
After graduating from Boston College and the University of Illinois College of Law, Mary began working in 1991 for a large boutique intellectual property firm in Chicago. While she enjoyed patent law, she discovered that working with estate planning and real estate clients would allow her to have the personal contact she desired.
In 2012, Mary joined Seraphin & Seraphin Ltd., where she takes pride in the quality of service that she, along with her paralegal, Julie Simmons, provides to her clients. Mary is committed to developing continuing relationships with clients and their families whether assisting with a real estate transaction or producing an estate plan tailored to meet their unique needs. Mary takes a compassionate, service-oriented approach and, when appropriate, encourages her clients to educate their families about the transfer of their wealth.
After nearly three decades of practicing real estate law, Mary has established relationships with many of the attorneys and realtors in the Tri-Cities, which provides a valuable network as she troubleshoots issues. Clients who work with Mary can expect one-on-one attention, clear communication and detail-oriented service as well a the sense of relief that comes from having an attorney that is driven to solve problems and negotiate amid a wide range of personalities and varying circumstances.
Mary also spends time outside of the office strengthening the community that she loves. She is an active Board member of the Geneva Community Chest. She has served on the Geneva Fire and Police Commission and on the boards of the Geneva History Museum and the Geneva Park District Foundation. Mary is also an active member of Chapelstreet Church where she sits on the Executive Council. She has been happily married for over 30 years and is the proud mom of three adult children.
Mary is a Board Member of the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council. Her professional affiliations and memberships include the Illinois State Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association where she is a member of the Real Estate and Estate Planning Committees.
