Susan began her law practice in Aurora, concentrating in the areas of school and municipal law, real estate, and wills, trusts and estates.  After opening her own office in North Aurora in 2003, Susan focused her practice on simple and complex wills and trusts, special needs trusts, elder law issues, and all aspects of guardianships and decedents’ estates.  In 2019, Susan was proud to become Of Counsel to Seraphin & Rogers, Ltd.

With 35 years of experience, Susan provides personal attention to each client.  She takes an effective, proactive, common-sense approach to all legal services. And, she believes that providing prompt responses to telephone calls and e-mails is an essential part of building a positive relationship with clients.

As a longtime resident of Batavia, Susan has been active in environmental, educational, and historical organizations.  Having served as the president of the Batavia Public Library Board of Trustees, Susan was instrumental in constructing the Library’s new facility.  Susan has also served as president of the League of Women Voters Central Kane County and worked to reorganize several city-specific leagues into the current regional league.

 

Susan is a past chair of the Kane County Bar Association Estate Planning, Probate & Elder Law Committee and a past board member and secretary of the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council.
